World No. 2 German Alexander Zverev will participate in the ATP 500 tournament in Hamburg, Germany, after receiving a special invitation (wild card).
Zverev will be the top seed at the tournament. Jannik Sinner was originally expected to be the top seed, but the Italian withdrew from the competition.
It is also worth noting that several other prominent players had previously withdrawn from the Hamburg tournament, including Holger Rune (Denmark), Lorenzo Musetti (Italy), and Tommy Paul (USA).
The tournament will take place on clay courts from May 18 to 24. The defending champion is Frenchman Arthur Fils, who defeated Alexander Zverev in last year`s final with a score of 6/3, 3/6, 7/6(1).
