Zverev Reflects on Form and Wimbledon Ambitions

Sports News

World No. 3 Alexander Zverev has commented on his performance this season and shared his outlook for the upcoming Wimbledon in 2025.

He stated, “My preparation has been quite good. I played in a final, played in a semi-final, also worked at these tournaments (in Stuttgart and Halle). People forget that I am still the world No. 3 and that I am third in the Race. I had some losses that were normal, perhaps unexpected. Overall, I believe I have regained my form in recent weeks or months. I am looking forward to Wimbledon; I think I can play well here.”

Zverev also responded to what causes him the most stress on the ATP Tour.

“Consistency, lack of breaks. This is a problem that has existed for a long time. I don`t think we have a holiday season. I don`t think we have time to rest mentally, physically, and in all other aspects. Overall, I don`t want to complain because I love being a tennis player. I love playing tennis. I love doing what I do. We all complain at a very, very high level, while earning good money and traveling around the world. We live in five-star hotels most of the time, visit beautiful places. Honestly, my dream has always been to become a tennis player. I feel like I am living this dream, and I am enjoying it,” said Zverev at a press conference.
