16-year-old Russian tennis player Vlada Gurileva, who is currently unranked by the WTA, has defeated British player Tara Moore in the semi-finals of the qualifying round at the WTA 125 tournament in Antalya. The match concluded with a score of 6-7(8), 6-2, 6-4 in favor of Gurileva.
Gurileva is ranked 140th in the junior world rankings. She received a wild card from the organizers to participate in what is the largest tournament of her career so far.
In the next qualifying round, Gurileva will face fellow Russian player Elena Pridankina. Pridankina secured her spot by winning against Ayla Aksu of Turkey with a score of 6-4, 7-5.
