Sports News

17-year-old German tennis player Diego Dedura-Palomero, ranked 547th in the world, celebrated his debut victory in the main draw of an ATP tournament in an unusual way.

In the first round match of the ATP 500 clay court tournament in Munich, Germany, lucky loser Dedura-Palomero faced the 29th-ranked Canadian Denis Shapovalov. Dedura-Palomero won the first set 7-6(2) and was leading 3-0 in the second set when Shapovalov retired from the match.

After shaking hands with Shapovalov at the net, Dedura-Palomero initially celebrated reaching the second round with a shout, then threw his headband onto the court. Following this, Diego used his foot to draw a cross on the court and then lay down on it, spreading his arms and legs.
