Tim Henman: Carlos Alcaraz Is Not Experiencing a Crisis

Sports News

Former British tennis leader and six-time Grand Slam semi-finalist, Tim Henman, has shared his perspective on the recent dip in form of Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz.

Alcaraz, currently ranked third in the world, won the ATP-500 tournament in Rotterdam this season. However, he faced defeats in the semi-finals of the 2025 Australian Open against Novak Djokovic, in the semi-finals of the Indian Wells Masters against Jack Draper, and in the second round of the Miami Masters against David Goffin.

Henman commented, `I wouldn`t say he is going through a crisis. He`s simply not performing at his peak right now, but this is a normal phase in the process of self-discovery and improvement. In my opinion, he should work on his shot selection. By improving this aspect, he will be able to demonstrate more consistent play. He is among the best tennis players in the world, and I am confident that he is capable of winning any tournament he participates in.`
