The second-round match of the Monte-Carlo Masters tournament between Lorenzo Musetti and Jiří Lehečka was paused by the umpire due to an incident involving the famous Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar. Pogačar, who couldn`t immediately find his seat in the stands, distracted the players.
The renowned cyclist, a three-time Tour de France champion and Olympic bronze medalist, attended the match accompanied by his girlfriend Urška Žigart. Lorenzo Musetti won the match and shared his impressions of the event.
Musetti mentioned that Pogačar`s presence in the stands, whom he considers a role model of perseverance and fighting spirit, inspired him, especially when he managed to break serve in the second set. The tennis player even joked that part of his success could be attributed to Pogačar.
