Goldstein`s Perspective
In an interview on the Vulture’s Good One podcast, Goldstein reflected on his immersion in the AFC Richmond world: “I believe it`s fundamentally about the individuals, the characters, and the actors involved,” he explained. “You start with a framework, but then the world begins to form organically, and you develop a fondness for aspects you hadn`t anticipated. I`m being sincere about this.”
He elaborated, “You must remain open to possibilities. While you always have an initial plan, it will inevitably change because of the unique contributions everyone brings. So, yes, we adhered to the core plan, but so many wonderful, fresh elements emerged within it, making you think, `Wow, we could potentially do more.`” He questioned whether revisiting that world is desirable, concluding it`s “only worthwhile if you commit to doing it as well as before, or even better.”

Goldstein also shared his thoughts on the much-anticipated return of Ted Lasso, which he felt was always a possibility: “When an idea presents itself, if you stay receptive to it and it arrives, your initial reaction is, `Oh! That`s a promising concept.` But then it hits you, `F*ck! Perhaps there truly is more to explore.`”
