Russian Tennis Player Alexey Mokrov Provisionally Suspended Over Doping

Russian tennis player Alexey Mokrov, currently ranked 1413 in the world, has received a provisional suspension from the sport following an anti-doping rule violation.

The decision comes after metabolites of nandrolone were detected in a sample provided by Mokrov on November 26, 2024. The sample was collected during a $15k tournament held in Sharm El Sheikh.

The temporary suspension took effect on January 27, 2025.

The 20-year-old Russian athlete is permitted to appeal the provisional suspension, but as of now, he has not submitted an appeal.
