Former world number one tennis player Roger Federer has sent his congratulations to Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin. On April 6th, Ovechkin achieved a new milestone in NHL history by setting a record for the most goals in regular season championships.
In a regular season game against the New York Islanders, the forward scored his 894th career goal. This achievement surpassed the previous record held by the legendary Wayne Gretzky.
In a video message, Federer expressed his admiration, saying, “I am very happy for you. I hope you will hold this record forever.”
