24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic offered his assessment of his fourth-round opponent at Wimbledon 2025, the Australian Alex de Minaur.
“Alex has improved significantly over the last two years. He is currently playing the best tennis of his career and is definitely close to reaching the decisive stages of Grand Slam tournaments. He has reached the quarter-finals several times already. Last year, unfortunately, he had to withdraw due to injury. But this year he is in form again, hasn`t lost a set, and is playing well.”
“Playing against Alex de Minaur on grass is definitely not the most pleasant challenge. He is very fast and versatile, has improved his serve, and constructs points excellently. A tough, a very tough match awaits me. But I look forward to it. It`s a great test to measure my level of play against a top player like Alex.”
