Natalia Vikhlyantseva on Andreeva vs Boisson: Only the Crowd Can Help the French Player

Sports News

Former world No. 54 Natalia Vikhlyantseva shared her predictions for the French Open quarterfinal match between Mirra Andreeva and Lois Boisson.

Vikhlyantseva stated, “Mirra started her match against Kasatkina strongly and confidently. Her confidence only increases with each game. The second set was a turning point where Andreeva recovered, managed to adjust her game, aided by crucial tips from her coach. Compared to her performance last year, Mirra now clearly represents a Top-10 player. She consistently plays well from tournament to tournament and achieves strong results.”

She added, “It seems to me that in terms of game class and confidence, Mirra surpasses Boisson. Both Boisson and Pegula would have been relatively easy opponents for Mirra. The only thing that might help the French player is the home crowd. So, Boisson might be able to put up some resistance – it won`t be a completely one-sided match.”
