World No. 6 Mirra Andreeva has publicly shared offensive comments she received after her defeat in the third round of the Miami Open.
Among the insulting messages were:
“Such a stupid and brainless tennis player…”
“You look like a man! What the hell? You deserve the worst cancer possible.”
Andreeva captioned the collection of comments with: “This is what you get for losing one match.”
She later deleted the story containing these comments.
On Sunday, Andreeva was defeated by Amanda Anisimova (6-7(5), 6-2, 3-6), ending her 13-match winning streak.
