Sports News

Russian tennis sensation Mirra Andreeva, currently ranked world No. 7, has confidently stated that she feels prepared to claim a victory at a Grand Slam tournament.

Andreeva is presently in Madrid, Spain, participating in a WTA 1000 event. Her appearance there is part of the ongoing clay season, which will culminate in the prestigious Roland Garros tournament.

Addressing the question of whether she is ready to win a major title, Andreeva shared her perspective:

“Probably, yes. Of course, if you ask any player, they will answer that way. The most important thing is how I perform on the court and in important matches. I think I am ready. The main thing is how I handle my nerves and all the difficult situations during the tournament.”

This season has already seen the young Russian achieve significant success, securing titles at two different WTA 1000 level tournaments.
