Today, Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov celebrates his 29th birthday. We extend our warmest congratulations to Karen and wish him continued success on and off the court.

Karen Khachanov was born on May 21, 1996, in Moscow. His father, Abgar, played volleyball at a high level before pursuing medicine, while his mother, Natalia, also studied medicine. Karen has a sister, Margarita, and a brother, Georgy. He took his first steps in tennis at the age of three.

Karen turned professional in 2013. Throughout his career, he has won seven ATP singles titles and one doubles title, earning over $19,027,618 in prize money.

His best Grand Slam performances are reaching the semifinals of the US Open in 2022 and the Australian Open in 2023. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Karen won a silver medal in the singles event, finishing runner-up to Germany`s Alexander Zverev in the final. He was also part of the Russian team that won the Davis Cup in 2021.

In July 2019, Khachanov reached a career-high ATP ranking of World No. 8.

Khachanov married Veronika Shklyayeva in 2016. Their first child, a son named David, was born in September 2019. In July 2023, they welcomed their second son, Mikael.

Currently, Khachanov is ranked World No. 24 in the global rankings.
