World No. 60 Joao Fonseca has revealed his tennis idols.
– You are becoming an idol for many people, especially young people who are inspired by you. Who were your idols?
– It`s not easy, because… Can you hear that? (Shouting in the background). Just two years ago, I was asking for autographs myself, and now kids are asking me for autographs and saying that I am their idol and inspire them.
Growing up, I was inspired by Roger Federer. I really loved him. Also, Guga Kuerten, our Brazilian hero. I liked him not only because of his game, but also because of his charisma, the way he gave interviews, and how much he loves Brazil.
And I really love representing my country,” the 18-year-old Brazilian shared in an interview with Tennis Channel.
