Jessica Pegula Highlights Consistency as Key Strength Over Sabalenka and Swiatek

Sports News

American tennis player Jessica Pegula, the world No. 3 and US Open 2024 finalist, has spoken about what she considers her biggest strength on the court: her consistency.

“I`ve always had faith in my game, although doubts certainly creep in. While I might have anticipated some dips in form, I’ve actually surprised myself. I feel fortunate to have been a consistent presence at the top of the game for a while now. Breaking into the top five, achieving a Grand Slam final last year, and winning Masters 1000 titles – these are all markers of that consistency.”

Pegula further elaborated, “Perhaps it`s simply my relaxed approach, or maybe it`s my overall mindset, but it all seems to come together organically. I really believe that my consistency is a defining advantage when you compare me to someone like Aryna or Iga. Even though a Grand Slam title still eludes me, I take great satisfaction in delivering strong performances week after week.”
