British number one Jack Draper, currently ranked world number 31, shared his thoughts following his fourth-round loss to world number 62 Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan at Roland Garros. The match concluded with a score of 7/5, 3/6, 2/6, 4/6 in favor of Bublik.
Speaking at his press conference, Draper stated, “I`m incredibly disappointed with the result. Obviously, coming into the clay-court season, I hadn`t won many matches on this surface. But I felt I arrived at this tournament in good spirits. I felt like my game was improving. This defeat is very hard to process right now. Despite having a very rapid rise in the rankings this year and reaching a good ranking, I`ve always had a lot of setbacks, injuries, difficult moments. This is another tough match. I`m going to learn from this, improve, and make the most of it.”
