Forza Motorsport celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and a significant update featuring community-requested additions has just been released for PC and Xbox Series X|S. The most notable new feature is the long-awaited introduction of public meetups.
Players can now choose from four distinct meetup modes: two focused on drift events and two on traditional racing. Both modes include playlists that cycle through all 73 available track layouts. Drift enthusiasts will be happy to find a dedicated 24/7 playlist for the recently returned Fujimi Kaido, while race fans can perpetually challenge the Nürburgring Nordschleife, famously known as the `Green Hell` in Germany.
The developers have also implemented improvements to the game`s AI, aiming for cleaner and safer driving behavior, particularly during the initial, often chaotic moments of a race. Steering wheel users will experience enhanced handling, though they will need to readjust their steering sensitivity settings after applying the patch.
In line with the anniversary theme, the update brings back several classic tracks from previous Forza Motorsport soundtracks and adds some brand-new musical pieces.
Fans of the single-player career mode can look forward to a new, permanent addition: the 20th Anniversary Tour. This extensive tour consists of seven groups, each featuring four events, for a total of 28 challenges. One group will become available each week, with the first set of races taking place on Fujimi Kaido, Maple Valley, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and Sunset Peninsula Raceway.
Completing the entire 20th Anniversary Tour awards players with the 2022 Acura NSX Type S car. Furthermore, finishing each individual leg of the tour unlocks a new racing suit inspired by different games throughout the series` history.
Beyond these major additions, the update also includes numerous bug fixes, gameplay adjustments, new challenges, and multiplayer tours, enriching the experience for racing game hobbyists during this milestone moment.
