German tennis player Eva Lys, currently ranked 68th in the world, discussed her aspirations to break into the Top 20 of the WTA rankings and other objectives in her professional career.
Lys stated, “I absolutely believe I can achieve it. I have repeatedly demonstrated my ability to compete with and defeat players within the top 30. However, this is a long-term process. It won`t happen overnight. Of course, I am aiming to climb higher in the rankings. Yet, my performance-related goals are even more motivating. My primary goal is to remain healthy throughout this year and complete a full season. That`s my main focus right now,” as reported by Eurosport, citing SID.
Born in Kyiv, 23-year-old Lys moved to Germany at the age of two. She has won three ITF titles. This year, Lys reached the fourth round of the Australian Open, marking her best Grand Slam performance to date.
