The highly anticipated movie “F1 The Movie” is now playing in cinemas, and EA Sports has rolled out corresponding crossover content for their F1 25 game. Players who purchased the special Iconic Edition were the first to receive this exclusive material. For those who didn`t get the Iconic Edition, the six single-player scenarios based on the film`s storyline are available for purchase as separate downloadable content (DLC).
Owners of the Iconic Edition also gain access to play as Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce in Career Mode and lead the fictional APXGP team in the My Team mode to compete for the virtual world championship title. It`s important to note that, unlike the scenarios, these driver and team options are exclusive to those who bought the DLC before July 11th.
Curious about how effective Hayes and Pearce are in the game? Brad Pitt`s character, the experienced Sonny Hayes, boasts an overall rating (OVR) of 87. His detailed statistics include 94 for Experience, 93 for Racecraft, 88 for Awareness, and 84 for Pace. This rating positions Hayes as a driver as capable as McLaren`s Oscar Piastri, who is currently leading in the game`s championship standings.
Joshua Pearce`s rating is equivalent to that of Yuki Tsunoda, both sharing an 82 OVR. The young, promising driver`s stats are 75 for Experience, 80 for Racecraft, 79 for Awareness, and 85 for Pace. This provides a solid foundation of skills for a driver with potential for development within the game.
Naturally, unlike the real-world F1 drivers whose in-game ratings might fluctuate based on their actual performance, Hayes and Pearce`s stats in the game will remain fixed.
Players who successfully complete the six movie-themed race scenarios, set at iconic tracks such as Silverstone, Monza, Zandvoort, Mexico City, Spa-Francorchamps, and Abu Dhabi, will be rewarded with Sonny Hayes` helmet as a cosmetic item. This helmet can then be used in the F1 World and Driver Career game modes.
