Russian professional tennis player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova is celebrating her 34th birthday today. We join in wishing Anastasia continued success both on and off the court.
Born on July 3, 1991, in Samara, Russia, Anastasia started playing tennis at the age of six. She is coached by her brother, Alexander, while her parents are Sergei and Marina.
Pavlyuchenkova turned professional in 2005. Over her career, she has claimed 12 WTA singles titles and earned prize money exceeding $15 million.
Her best performance at a Grand Slam event came in 2021 when she reached the singles final of Roland Garros. In doubles, she has advanced to the quarter-finals at each of the four Grand Slams at least once.
In November 2021, she achieved a career-high WTA ranking of World No. 11. Currently ranked World No. 50, she returned to the tour in 2023 after a knee injury sidelined her for part of the 2022 season, notably reaching the quarter-finals at Roland Garros upon her comeback.
Anastasia is currently competing at Wimbledon, where she secured a spot in the third round yesterday with a victory over Ashlyn Krueger.
