Carlos Alcaraz Felt Pressure Due to Jannik Sinner’s Absence

Sports News

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, after reaching the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters, admitted that he faced pressure related to the absence of Italian player Jannik Sinner.

Alcaraz mentioned that many experts highlighted the importance for him to reclaim the world No. 1 ranking while Sinner, who is currently the top-ranked player, is not competing.

“Perhaps I was overthinking it. I simply needed to play tennis and enjoy the process.

After the Miami Masters, I understood how I should act and what I need to do. I shouldn`t focus too much on results or anything else; I should just enjoy the game,” Alcaraz stated at the press conference.
