World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka shared her thoughts on dealing with the loss to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final (3/6, 6/2, 5/7).
“Honestly, that final defeat was difficult to accept. A truly tough loss. It probably took me about a week just to put that final behind me.”
“I believe that after defeats like that, I return even stronger. I just become incredibly motivated and laser-focused on my game. Perhaps, sometimes, it`s even beneficial for me to lose these kinds of matches. It allows me to step back slightly, gain perspective, make adjustments, release the situation, and keep moving forward.”
