Aryna Sabalenka: Losing Finals Is Painful, But I Learn From Mistakes

Sports News

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka shared her perspective on handling defeats in high-stakes final matches.

“Honestly, being in finals, even if you lose them, is already a good problem to have. Some of those losses were truly painful and difficult to accept. But I understand that you must always take a lesson from them. Sometimes you just have to admit you didn`t play your best game and need to learn from those errors to come back stronger. I am proud that after such finals, I found the strength to return, made adjustments to my game, ensured the lessons were absorbed, and aimed to display my best tennis in the next final,” Sabalenka stated at a press conference.

When asked about Italian fans considering her a standard of beauty and comparing her to Jannik Sinner, Aryna responded with a smile, “`I`ve always felt a special connection with Italy! Thank you very much, grazie mille`.”
