Aryna Sabalenka: I Remind Myself How Strong I Am When Facing Challenges

Sports News

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka addressed the question of whether she has been working specifically on improving her mental toughness.

“Honestly, I don`t know. I think I`ve had to overcome a lot of difficulties, and that`s what made me a very resilient person. Every time I struggle with something, I just remind myself how cool, how strong I am, and that I can handle anything. This applies not only to tennis, but to life in general,” said the athlete, as quoted by Tennis World USA.

In the final of the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami, Sabalenka will play against American Jessica Pegula.

The 26-year-old Belarusian is a three-time Grand Slam singles champion. In total, she has won 18 titles at the WTA level.
