World No. 18 Arthur Fils requested a medical timeout during his fourth-round match at the Miami Masters against Alexander Zverev.
The French player called for a physiotherapist after the first set, which he lost 3-6.
Fils was overheard saying about his back: “It`s finished. It`s finished. Completely broken. I can`t hit a forehand, and my return is so bad.”
Following the medical break, Fils managed to secure an early break and is currently leading in the second set.
