Sports News

Alexander Zverev, the world`s third-ranked player, commented after his quarterfinal victory at the ATP 500 tournament in Munich. In this match, he defeated Tallon Griekspoor from the Netherlands with a score of 6-7(6), 7-6(3), 6-4. In the second set, Zverev managed to save a match point at 4-5 on his opponent`s serve.

Zverev stated: `I am very happy with this victory. I finally managed to win a tough match. Lately, I have often lost similar matches, but I always hoped that I could turn the situation around. Today I succeeded, and I am proud of my resilience, especially in the third set when I recovered from 0-40 on my serve. I am happy with the win and look forward to the next matches, hopefully two of them.`

He also added: `Our matches with Tallon are always unusual. In Indian Wells, I served for the match but lost the game, and then he also failed to serve for the match. In our games, it is always difficult to predict the outcome. Our encounters are usually long and interesting, and I am glad that this time the victory went to me,` Zverev said in a post-match interview.
