Alejandro Tabilo Reflects on Victory Against Djokovic

Sports News

World No. 32 Alejandro Tabilo has spoken about his victory over Novak Djokovic in the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters, where he won in straight sets 6/3, 6/4.

“Everyone knows how strong Djokovic is, especially mentally. I felt prepared to step onto the court and take on the challenge. My mindset was focused on winning. I managed to start very well and tried to maintain that level throughout the match. I noticed that in certain moments, I was making him uncomfortable. I am pleased with my performance,” Tabilo stated in an interview with Tennis Channel.

Notably, the Chilean player becomes only the third player, after Marat Safin and Jiri Vesely, to have faced Djokovic at least twice and remained undefeated. This victory follows his previous win against Djokovic in Rome in 2024.
