Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz commented on reaching the final of the Rome Masters tournament. He defeated Italian Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals with a score of 6-3, 7-6(4).
According to Alcaraz, Musetti was nervous because he was playing on home soil.
`Musetti has been in this situation before. This is his third consecutive Masters semifinal. Of course, it`s tough when you`re playing at home and you want to win. You have thoughts in your head, you want to reach the final in front of your fans. And those thoughts can work against you.`
`He made a lot of mistakes at the beginning of the match, he was very tense. I saw that. And I tried to take advantage of it, to use his errors. I tried to play smart and solid, which is why I took the first set,` Alcaraz said during the post-match press conference.
