2025 NHL Playoff Standings, Schedule & Bracket

NHL News

The most exciting time of the hockey season is almost upon us! The Stanley Cup playoffs are set to kick off this weekend, featuring 16 teams competing for the coveted trophy. With almost all playoff spots locked in, and first-round matchups finalized, anticipation is building.

In the Eastern Conference, the Washington Capitals have secured the top seed and were initially expected to face the Montreal Canadiens in the first round. However, a recent loss by the Canadiens to the Chicago Blackhawks has opened the door for the Columbus Blue Jackets to potentially grab the final Wild Card spot in the East. The Blue Jackets need to win their last game and rely on other results to go their way.

The Western Conference playoff bracket is now complete, with both the Minnesota Wild and Calgary Flames clinching their playoff berths. The Winnipeg Jets will enter the playoffs as the top seed in the West, having won the Presidents` Trophy for the first time in their history.

As the playoff landscape can change quickly, stay tuned to updates for the latest standings and potential matchups as the postseason approaches. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are scheduled to begin on April 19th.
